Bhadrak: The COVID-19 tally in Odisha’s Bhadrak touched 262 on Sunday with 16 fresh cases being reported from the district in the last 24 hours.
In a tweet, the district collector Gyana Ranjan Das has said that these new cases have been detected in quarantine centres.
Eight among them are from the temporary medical centre (TMC) at Government Girls’ High School in Tihidi block, 3 each from the TMC at Chandigaon High School of Bhadrak block and the TMC at Eram Cyclone Centre in Basudevpur block and one each from the TMC at Government High School at Brahmapur of Ichhapur block and the TMC at Government High School at Biruan in Dhamnagar block.
“Contact tracing of the 16 patients with travel history from Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and New Delhi has been completed,” he added.
With 228 patients having recovered from the infection, Bhadrak now has 34 active cases.
