Bhubaneswar: As many as 17 new cases of COVID-19 were reported from four districts on Saturday, taking the total number of positive cases in Odisha to 287.
All the 17 patients are male and Surat returnees, according to a tweet by the I&PR Department.
Of the new cases, 12 are from Ganjam, three from Mayurbhanj and one each from Bhadrak and Rourkela.
The district administrations have begun the follow-up action to trace the contact details of these 17 patients.

With this, Ganjam district has the highest count of COVID patients at 83 followed by Jajpur (55), Bhubaneswar (50), Balasore (27), Bhadrak (25), Sundargarh (13), Kendrapara (8), Mayurbhanj (7), Jagatsinghpur (5), Keonjhar (2), Kalahandi (2), Jharsuguda (2), Cuttack (1), Balangir (2), Puri (1) and one each from Koraput, Dhenkanal and Deogarh districts.
Out of 287 positive cases in the state, 222 are active. While 63 patients are completely cured, two patients have died of the disease.
