Balangir: In a shocking incident, a youth was brutally assaulted by four men and steel glass inserted into his rectum in Odisha’s Balangir district.
The incident occurred on Wednesday evening when the victim. identified as Karuna Bhoi of Ramachandrapur village went to a field near his village to attend nature’s call. During this time, four inebriated men appeared in front of him and threatened him with a pistol. They also abused him in filthy language before forcing a steel glass into his rectum.
Bhoi, who sustained serious injuries in the attack, managed to free escape from the miscreants and reach home. Bleeding profusely, his family members rushed him to Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital and later shifted to Burla Medical College and hospital for a surgery.
His condition is stated to be serious and the scared family members are yet to file a police complaint.
Meanwhile, on learning about the incident Additional SP has ordered an investigation by Deogaon and Bandhapada police.
