Sambalpur: Unable to cope with the grief and loss of her boyfriend, a 19-year-old girl allegedly ended her life by hanging from a mango tree at Chinimahul village under Jamankira police limits in Odisha’s Sambalpur district.
The deceased has been identified as Sunita Mirdha.
According to sources, her boyfriend Bipra Kisan (24) of Chinimahul village under Jamankira police limits met with an accident near Gaudpali Kanak Durga temple beside NH 53 while returning home on his motorcycle and died on the spot.
Shocked over his death, Sunita took the extreme step and her body was found hanging from the mango tree on the outskirts of the village on Tuesday evening, the sources added.
Police recovered the body for postmortem and later handed it over to her family members.
