2 Days After Recovering From COVID-19, Indore Police Inspector Passes Away

Indore: Devendra Kumar, a police inspector in Indore who had been battling novel coronavirus, breathed his last early on Sunday.

The 44-year-old had been undergoing treatment for over three weeks at Aurobindo Hospital, swhere he was admitted on March 31 after complaining of respiratory distress.

He tested positive for COVID-19 and was critical till April 10. He tested positive again on April 13 but his last two reports, on April 16 and 17, were negative.

Hospital Director Dr Vinod Bhandari said Kumar’s condition had improved and they were planning to discharge him soon. But he suffered cardiac arrest in the early hours of April 19.
