The two had allegedly duped a man in Nalgonda district of Telangana of over Rs 30 lakh on the promise of getting the amount doubled in a short period.

A case had been registered by the police in Telangana based on a complaint lodged by the victim.

During investigation, the police tracked the mobile phones of the accused persons and came to know that the two were travelling in Falaknuma Express.

Swinging into action swiftly, the police in Telangana contacted the RPF in Odisha and a joint team conducted an operation to nab the duo. During the joint operation, the two were caught from the running train between Cuttack and Jajpur railway stations.

While cash to the tune of Rs 24 lakh was seized from the accused persons, both were handed over to the team from Telangana Police, sources added.
