Cuttack: At least 21 persons, including women and children, were injured when the bus in which they were travelling overturned after hitting a road divider near Nuapatna at Choudwar in Odisha’s Cuttack district in the early hours of Thursday.
According to sources, the accident took place around 3 am when driver lost control of the vehicle, owing to dense fog, while transporting about 40 women from Deogarh to Bhubaneswar. The front suspension of the bus was completely damaged.
On being informed, Fire Services and police personnel reached the spot and rescued the injured, who were then admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. The condition of one among is stated to be critical.
