Cuttack: The authorities of the National Law University Odisha (NLUO) in Cuttack city have decided to resume physical classes even as its 22 more students tested positive for COVID on Tuesday.
In an official intimation to students, Rangin Pallav Tripathy, Dean (Academics) of the university said it has been decided after consultation with the Student Council and approval of the vice-chancellor that the physical classes will be resumed from July 25.
He said the students, who are returning from their homes, should carry negative COVID test (RT-PCR) report. The test must be conducted within 48 hours of their arrival at the campus.
The students have been asked to wear face masks inside the classes and the campus. The departments concerned will issue the SOP later, the Dean said.
Meanwhile, 22 students of the university in the age group of 18-24 years have tested positive for COVID. The test report of their samples, sent to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack, was released by CDMO & PHO on Tuesday.
Earlier, as many as 44 students of the NLUO had tested COVID positive on July 14.
