New-Delhi :A total of 2,34,441 passengers have booked tickets in the special trains, which are being run connecting 15 cities since May 12.
According to Railways, the Passenger Reservation System (PRS) fare collected till now is Rs 45.30 crore.
The first special train from Bhubaneswar to New Delhi left at 10 am on Wednesday with 916 passengers. This was the first train to chug out of Bhubaneswar railway station after 52 days of suspension of normal services amid the COVID-19 lockdown in the country.
In another abrupt move, the Railways cancelled all regular train tickets booked for travel before or on June 30.
