COVID-19 Crisis: All Tickets Booked In Regular Trains Till June 30 Cancelled

New Delhi: The Railways on Thursday cancelled all regular train tickets booked for travel before or on June 30.

The Shramik Special trains being run for repatriation of stranded migrant labourers since May 1 amid the coronavirus lockdown, will remain unaffected.

A notification issued by Director, Passenger Marketing, Railway Board, said that the passengers, who had booked in Mail, Express, Passenger, and Suburban trains, will receive full refund for their tickets.

“The competent authority has desired that all tickets booked for trains for the period up to June 30, 2020 may be cancelled and full refund generated,” it added.

Passenger train services in the country have been suspended since March 24 to contain the spread of COVID-19.

After 50 days, special Rajdhani trains were run on Tuesday connecting 15 cities, including Bhubaneswar.
