Bhubaneswar: Around 25,000 projects under ‘Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha’ (AONO) initiative are yet to take off, the state Assembly was informed on Tuesday.
This information was shared by Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Minister Rabi Narayan Naik while answering a question by MLA Byomakesh Ray.
The Minister said that a total of 90,624 projects have been approved under the scheme and work is underway at different stages of implementation.
Out of these, approximately 42,000 projects have been completed, while work on nearly 25,000 is yet to begin, he said.
As per the guidelines, projects initiated under the AONO scheme that have incurred a minimum of 20% expenditure will be completed under the ‘Bikashita Gaon Bikashita Odisha’ initiative, Naik said.
The Minister also clarified that no approved project has been withdrawn from blocks.
