2nd Phase Of Odisha Panchayat Polls: Jajpur Collector Recommends Repoll In 13 Booths

Jajpur: District Collector Chakravarti Singh Rathore has recommended repolling in 13 booths, where the panchayat elections were marred by violence during the second phase on Friday.

Rathore has recommended repolling in 10 booths under Dasarathpur block and three booths under Barchana block.

Meanwhile, fire service personnel and police have recovered the ballot box of booth no. 9 in Dasarathpur panchayat from a pond. Two men had snatched the ballot box from polling personnel on way to deposit it at the strong room at the block headquarters.

The ballot box was from a booth set up exclusively for women voters at the Iswarpur high school in Dasarathpur block.
