3-Day Documentary Film Festival To Begin In Bhubaneswar Tomorrow; Check Details

Bhubaneswar: Filmmaker and National Award winner Lipika Singh Darai’s Backstage is among the 30-odd documentaries to be screened at the three-day Indian Documentary Film Festival Of Bhubaneswar (IDFFB), beginning Friday (October 14).

The festival, which is being organised by the Film Society of Bhubaneswar (FSB) after a gap of almost 3 years at Odissi Research Centre in Bhubaneswar, offers a bouquet of critically-acclaimed documentaries, including Delhi-based filmmaker Shaunak Sen’s All That Breathes, which bagged the prestigious L’OEil d’Or award at the Cannes Film Festival 202. Another Cannes prize-winning documentary A Night of Knowing Nothing by Payal Kapadia will also be screened between 10 am to 7.45 pm on these days at the 3rd edition of IDFFB.

Post-screening, filmmakers would also join for an interaction session with the audience, said FSB member Sankalp.

“The regular screening sessions had come to a halt due to the COVID pandemic and so also our membership process has taken a hit. With the IDFFB, we are hopeful of bouncing back with renewed vigour,” he added.

Kerala Chalachitra Academy, an autonomous nonprofit cultural organisation based out in Kerala, and Indian Foundation Of Arts (IFA) have extended logistical support to IDFFB 2022.

While entry is free for FSB members, others can get tickets priced at Rs 150 at Book My Show.
