Keonjhar: Three people were killed and two others sustained critical injuries in a collision between a motorcycle collided and a scooter at a village in Odisha’s Keonjhar district.
According to sources, the mishap took place on Chandapasi-Pandapada road near Sarupata at on Friday evening when both the two-wheelers collided head on. While three persons reportedly died on the spot, two others were grievously injured.
The deceased have been identified as Dushasana Barik (40) of Asanabahali village and Laxman Senapati (25) and Manoj Kumar Dalei of Balabhadrapur.
Two injured persons, identified as Raja Nayak of Balabhadrapur and Rahul Nayak of Asanabahali were rescued by locals and rushed them to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) at Keonjhar.
On being informed, a police team from Dhenkikote rushed to the site and launched a probe into the mishap.
The postmortem of the deceased persons are being conducted on Saturday
