341.1 MM Rain In Odisha So Far This Monsoon; Check Forecast, Orange Warning
Bhubaneswar: Odisha received a cumulative rainfall of 341.1 mm between June 1 and July 14 against the normal value of 345.5 mm, according to the IMD’s regional meteorological centre in Bhubaneswar.
During this period, six districts received excess rainfall, seven districts were rain deficient while rest 17 districts received normal rainfall.
With the southwest monsoon active and the Low Pressure Area now lying over north Odisha and neighbourhood with associated cyclonic circulation, the regional meteorological centre has issued orange warning for heavy rainfall over several districts of Odisha.

July 15 (Till 8.30 am)
Orange warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Bargarh, Sambalpur and Nuapada.
Yellow warning: Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Puri, Boudh, Angul, Deogarh, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Balangir, Sonepur, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Koraput and Malkangiri.
Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at most places over the districts of Odisha.
July 15 (8.30 am) to July 16 (8.30 am)
Orange warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Bhadrak and Balasore.
Yellow warning: Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kendrapara Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Khurda, Puri, Angul, Dhenkanal, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sonepur and Boudh.
Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at most places over the districts of Odisha.
July 16 (8.30 am) to July 17 (8.30 am)
Orange warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh, Sambalpur, Bolangir, Sonepur, Boudh, Angul, Dhenkanal and Jajpur.
Yellow warning: Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Khurda, Puri, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, Deogarh and Jharsuguda.
Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at most places over the districts of Odisha.
July 17 (8.30 am) to July 18 (8.30 am)
Yellow warning: Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Nuapada, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.
Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Odisha.
July 18 (8.30 am) to July 19 (8.30 am)
Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Gajapati, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada and Mayurbhanj.
Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Odisha.
