Bhubaneswar: The Odisha capital has 3683 active COVID-19 cases and 75 per cent among them are in home isolation, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner Prem Chaudhary informed on Friday.
During a press briefing, he said that 10,000 patients have so far opted for home isolation and 7,000 among them have been cured.
Allaying fears about lack of facilities in hospital amid rising COVID-19 cases, Chaudhary said that the city has a good number of vacant ICU and general beds. “Another 60 ICU beds have added to attend to the increasing caseload,” he said.
