Mumbai: Bollywood legends, Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan, had shared screen space in iconic Hindi films, ‘Anand’ and ‘Namak Haraam.’
Now, grandchildren of these superstars are teaming up to create magic on the silver screen.
According to reports, Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia’s granddaughter, Naomika Saran, is all set to make her Bollywood debut opposite Big B’s grandson Agastya Nanda.
The film, touted to be a rom-com, is being directed by Jagdeep Sidhu, the man behind blockbuster Punjabi movies such as ‘Qismat’, ‘Qismat 2’, ‘Shadaa’, and ‘Jatt & Juliet 3.’
Jagdeep has also written dialogues for Bollywood films like ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ and ‘Srikanth.’
The upcoming film is going to be special one for cinegoers as they will be witnessing the third generation of the two most celebrated Bollywood families on-screen.
Born to actor Rinke Khanna and businessman Sameer Saran, Naomika’s striking resemblance to grandmother Dimple Kapadia has already caught the attention of movie buffs.
Meanwhile, Amitabh’s grandson Agastya Nanda, who had made his Bollywood debut with Zoya Akhtar’s ‘The Archies’ last year, will be next seen in ‘Ikkis.’
Directed by Sriram Raghavan, ‘Ikkis’ is a war drama starring Dharmendra and Jaideep Ahlawat, besides Agastya.
