4-Star Hotel In Bhubaneswar, Six Other Employment-Intensive Projects Gets Govt’s Nod

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Wednesday approved seven industrial projects worth Rs 511 crore, which would generate employment opportunities for over 6,402 people in the state.

The projects approved by the SLSWCA committee include employment-intensive sectors like textile and apparel and paper.

According to an official release, Ambattur Fashions has been given the go-ahead to set up a men’s & women’s apparel manufacturing unit at Chandaka in Khurda district at an investment of Rs 51 crore. It will generate employment opportunities for over 4,700 people.

The committee has approved another garment manufacturing unit by Wild Lotus Fashions at Chhatabar Industrial Estate, Khurda. To come up at an investment of Rs 52.62 crore, it will generate employment opportunities for over 560 people.

A New Kraft Paper unit with a capacity of 300 tonne per day will be set up by Shree Banshi Luxmi Private Limited (a subsidiary of Pioneer Packaging Private Limited) at Somanathpur in Balasore district at an investment of Rs 120 crore. It will generate employment opportunities for over 750 people.

Indian Oil Corporation Limited got the approval to set up a Rs 52.28 crore 10 MW Solar Power Plant in Boudh, which will generate employment opportunities for over 65 people.

The panel led by Chief Secretary Suresh Mahapatra also gave in-principal approval to Prachi Resorts to set up a 4-star Hotel in Bhubaneswar, at an investment of Rs 63.30 crore. It will generate employment opportunities for over 85 people.

Similarly, Sygma Tubes And Pipes to set up a 5,00,000 MT Tube & Pipe will set up a manufacturing unit at Rengali, Sambalpur, at an investment of Rs 51.99 crore. It will generate employment opportunities for over 60 people.

PTCL Infrastructure Limited got the approval for the expansion of its iron ore beneficiation plant from 1.5 MTPA to 2.5 MTPA at Barbil, Keonjhar, at an investment of Rs 120 crore. It will provide employment to over 182 people.
