43 Confirmed Coronavirus Cases In India

The total number of active cases of COVID-19 has reached 40 in the country and it excludes three cured ones.

Meanwhile, four new cases – one from Kerala, one from Delhi, one from Uttar Pradesh and one from Jammu – were reported on Sunday,

Of the five cases earlier reported from Kerala, three are of a family with travel history to Italy and two others are their relatives. Health officials are tracing the relatives and the people, who these five people had come in contact with while attending a few functions.

A total of 8,74,708 international passengers from 8,255 flights have been screened at airports till now with 1,921 passengers identified as symptomatic. As many as 177 of them have been hospitalized. 33,599 passengers are still under observation. 21,867 passengers have completed their observation period.

A 76-year-old man, who recently returned from Iran after a pilgrimage, died at Sonam Narboo hospital in Leh town of Ladakh region due to suspected COVID-19 infection on Sunday. Authorities are waiting for final test results to declare if he was indeed affected by coronavirus, a report publish in the NDTV said.

The Indian government has appealed to reveal travel history clearly and fill all details in self-declaration forms properly.
