Berhampur: The COVID-19 tally in Ganjam district touched 1472 on Wednesday with 102 more people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
Among them, 57 are active contacts of positive cases and 43 are Corona Warriors. The remaining two had travelled back to the district from Surat and Bengaluru respectively, informed the district administration.
Of the 43 Corona Warrior, 16 belong to Aska area, four from Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) area, one each from Bhanjanagar, Chhatrapur, Jagannath Prasad, Kabisuryanagar and Chikiti and seven each from Dharakote and Kukudahandi and four from Rengeilunda.
The local contact cases include 22 from Kabisuryanagar, six from Aska, four from BeMC area and three each from Bhanjanagar, Bellaguntha, Dharakote and Kukudahandi.
Those with travel history belong to Bellaguntha and Patrapur in the district.
With 14 deaths and 993 recoveries, Ganjam now has 465 active cases.
