582 More Test Positive For COVID In Odisha; Active Cases Cross 5K Again
Bhubaneswar: COVID active cases in Odisha crossed 5000 again and stood at 5.113 on Thursday with 582 more people, including 83 children below 18 years of age, testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
The state had seen 593 new infections on Wednesday, 453 on Tuesday, 407 on Monday and 528 on Sunday.
According to the I & PR department, 337 of the new cases are from quarantine and 245 local contacts. Khurda reported the highest 282 cases followed by Cuttack at 46. Five districts reported nil cases.

With these cases being detected from 76,717 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 0.75%. The TPR was 0.82% on Wednesday, 0.77% on Tuesday, 0.62% on Monday, and 0.76 % on Sunday.
The affected tally in the state has touched 10,29,994.
