Shimla: Six schoolchildren and the driver of a bus were killed after a bus skipped off the road and fell into gorge at Sirmaur in Himachal Pradesh on Saturday.
Around seven to eight children were injured, according to a police officer quoted by IANS.
The accident took place while the school bus was transporting the children to a school in Sangrah town, around 150 km away from the state capital Shimla.
Eyewitness accounts said the bus was badly mangled.
Initial reports attributed the accident to negligence of the bus driver.
