6 Places In Odisha Record Over 37 Degree Celsius; Highest Temperature In Jharsuguda & Malkangiri
Bhubaneswar: As many as 6 places in Odisha recorded maximum temperature of more than 37 degree Celsius on Monday even as IMD forecast hotter days ahead.
According to evening bulletin of the regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD), Jharsuguda and Malkangiri recorded highest temperature (day temperature) of 38 degree Celsius in the state.
The two places were followed by Paralakhemundi with 37.8 degree Celsius, Bhawanipatna with 37.5, Titlagarh with 37.5 and Angul with 37.1 degree.
The twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded maximum temperature of 36.4 and 35.8 degree Celsius respectively on the day.
The IMD forecast that there will be gradual rise in maximum temperature (day temperature) by 2-4 degree Celsius during next three days and there will be no large change thereafter.
The minimum temperature (night temperature) will also gradually rise by 2-3 degree Celsius during next three days and no large change thereafter at many places.
The department also said that the maximum and minimum temperature very likely to be around 37 degrees and 24 degree respectively in Bhubaneswar and its neighbourhood in the next 24 hours.
