Sundargarh: The police on Wednesday arrested seven persons for allegedly kidnapping a youth in Subalaya area of the district.
According to police, the youth had taken Rs 3 lakh from a person promising him to give a ‘Hanuman Coin’. After he failed to give the ‘lucky’ coin, he was kidnapped by the seven persons.
Acting on a complaint filed in this regard, the Town police started investigation and arrested the kidnappers from various places. The police also seized a car, mobile phones, motorcycle and Rs 2.15 lakh in cash from their possession and registered a cheating case.
