Mumbai: Salman Khan is set to make a special appearance on Amazon Prime Video’s ‘Alliance’, where he will share a deeply personal chapter from his life.
In the latest promo, the superstar is seen motivating his brother, Sohail Khan, who is competing on the reality show, by reflecting on his own experience of being in jail and the hardships he endured during that time.
In the promo, Salman shared, “Bohot saalon pehle jab jail gaya tha toh [Many years ago when I was in jail] we had bars in front of us. In such a small area, there are 50-60-70 people there… one bathroom, Indian-style commode, kabhi chhipkali hain [there were lizards] and more than that shit is filled all the way till here [hand gesture to show high up].”
This isn’t the first time Salman has spoken about the conditions inside jail.
During an appearance on ‘On the Couch with Koel’ in 2008, the actor had also shared details about the prison bathrooms and his experience of living behind bars.
“I was blank. I was chilling. The only tension was the bathroom. That was it. [pause] And, the bin, and three, four times I have gone in and out of it. If someone wants to put you in, you go in quietly. When you know you haven’t done it, you go in head high,” he shared.
Apart from reflecting on his time in jail, Salman also addressed his brother Sohail’s divorce from Seema Sajdeh.
In the promo, Salman shared that despite Sohail taking the blame upon himself, he had witnessed the pain and struggles his younger brother went through during the separation.
Salman’s appearance on ‘Alliance’ comes after Sohail had an emotional outburst on the show, during which he kicked open a set door and briefly walked off.
Earlier, Sohail had admitted that he was deeply affected by the elimination of his ex-wife, Seema, from the show.
With ‘Alliance’ now entering its finale week, viewers are eager to see how Salman encourages his younger brother to regain his focus and deliver his best performance.
Sohail Khan & all the housemates are visibly emotional as #SalmanKhan opens up about the hardships & difficult moments he went through during his time in jail. The way Bhai describes everything is deeply moving, leaving everyone emotional & silent #Alliance…
