9-Yr-Old Girl ‘Raped’, Admitted To Capital Hospital; Accused Nabbed From Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: A youth allegedly raped a nine-year-old girl in a village under Balipatna police limits, on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar, on Friday. The minor girl is undergoing treatment at Capital Hospital.

According to sources, the girl was alone at her home when the youth forcibly picked up her and allegedly raped her. 

She later said informed her family members, following which a complaint was lodged at the police station. The girl was then admitted to a hospital in Balipatna and then shifted to Capital Hospital in a critical condition

Based on the complaint, police launched a manhunt and nabbed the accused, a distant relative, from his hideout in Bhubaneswar.

The accused person is a labourer, the sources added.
