Bhubaneswar: The KIIT Deemed To Be University will be hosting a ‘commerce mahakumbh’ from December 20, which will see 3000 delegates from India and abroad in attendance, making it the largest gathering of commerce fraternity in Odisha in a long time.
The 72nd All India Commerce Conference of Indian Commerce Association (ICA), Golden jubilee celebration of Odisha Commerce Association and the 40th All Odisha Commerce Conference will be held simultaneously till December 24. The university will also be playing host to an international seminar on ‘Global Business: Emerging Issues and Challenges’ said a university statement.
The delegates will include participants from the USA, Australia, Nepal, Bangladesh and Kuwait. Academicians, researchers, practitioners and scholars will provide incisive insights on the burning topics of contemporary significance selected for the conference, the statement said. In all, 972 research articles on the five themes will be presented and deliberated upon.
In the run-up to the mega meet, the Odisha Commerce Association is conducting a student test in zonal 30 colleges of Odisha. About 5000 commerce undergraduate students are participating. The winners of all zones will be awarded prizes and encouraged to participate in the conference free of cost, the statement added.
KIIT & KISS founder Prof Achyuta Samanta is the Chief Patron of the 72nd All India Commerce Conference. It will be presided over by President, Indian Commerce Association Prof H Venkatswarlu.
