Balasore: A group of miscreants looted an ATM kiosk of State Bank of India
near Medical area under Bahanaga block in Soro of Balasore district
late on Sunday night.
According to reports, some local residents spotted the broken kiosk
this morning and immediately alerted the police.
The looters committed the crime by cutting the ATM machine with the
help of a gas cutter. However, the exact amount of money stolen from
the kiosk is yet to be ascertained, police sources said, adding that a
probe has been launched to trace out the robbers.
Earlier on December 11, a similar incident was reported from Nilagiri
area in the district when unidentified miscreants decamped with cash
to the tune of Rs 20, 000 from an Indicash ATM at Santaragadia area.
Along with the ATM kiosk, three shops were also looted in the
locality.
