Fourth Kalinga Global Film Festival By KIIT: Focus On Good Cinema
A selection of feature films, short films and documentaries from all over Asia and screening of more than 15 films in the Asian Window section will be done at the fourth edition of Kalinga Global Film Festival (KGFF), which was inaugurated last week. KIIT School of Film and Media Sciences is the organizer of the festival.
Delegates and critics from the country and abroad will be participating in the festival. Besides, there will be three panel discussions on Film Society Movement, Film Appreciation and Critical Analysis, and Film Education.
Inaugurating the event, Minister, Sports & Youth Service, Electronics & Information Technology, Govt. of Odisha, Tusharkanti Behera said Odia cinema has to improve more for it to maintain a uniqueness. Professor of Screen Studies and Research FTII, Pune, Pankaj Saxena said, students of KIIT School of Film and Media Sciences should reflect in their movies what they learn from around them in Odisha.
The objective of this film festival is to encourage and ignite young minds, enrich intellectually inclined cineastes and promote aspiring filmmakers.
