“Board exams are on so the schools are functional at the moment, but, if there’s a need the State will declare Holiday,” the CM added.

More than 1.2 lakh people have been infected worldwide, with around 30,000 cases now in Iran, Italy, South Korea, Spain, France and Germany.

The Indian government has suspended visas of all foreign nationals coming to the country till April 15.

Meanwhile, companies such as Paytm, Cognizant, Google, Dell, Flipkart have enabled work from home measures for their employees and most have banned non-critical travel to countries such as Italy, Hong Kong, Singapore, etc. Flipkart has placed a mandatory work from home order in Bengaluru. The e-commerce company has around 8,000-10,000 employees.
