COVID-19 Lockdown; Rishi Kapoor Asks Govt To Keep Liquor Shops Open, Gets Trolled
Bhubaneswar: Well-known for his controversial tweets, sexagenarian actor Rishi Kapoor has once again locked horns with netizens for advising the government to keep liquor shops open amidst the nation-wide lockdown due to coronavirus.
While scores of people across the country are being deprived of food and other day to day essentials because of the 21-day lockdown, actor Rishi Kapoor is concerned about the availability of liquor during this crisis.
You can read the actor’s tweets here:
Think. Government should for sometime in the evening open all licensed liquor stores. Don’t get me wrong. Man will be at home only what with all this depression, uncertainty around. Cops, doctors, civilians etc… need some release. Black mein to sell ho hi raha hai. ( cont. 2)

State governments desperately need the money from the excise. Frustration should not add up with depression. As it is pee to rahe hain legalize kar do no hypocrisy. My thoughts.

These tweets didn’t go down well with the netizens and they started trolling and criticising the actor.
One twitter user posted, “Rich people think in a different trajectory altogether.”
Another user tweeted, “@MumbaiPolice this man is blackmarketing liquor !! Please arrest him.”
“Please tweet responsibily and sensibly during #Covid_19 your immune system needs to be strong to deal with it. To heal faster. Kindly suggest people to eat healthy food refrain from alcohol for a while. Alcohol is not the solution for depression. Think different ppl look upto u,” wrote one netizen.

“One for all, all for one. Let us do what we have to do. We have no option. We will all keep one another busy and entertained for the coming time. No worries. No panic. Sala isko bhi dekh lenge. PM ji don’t worry we are with you! Jai Hind,” the actor posted.
