Three-Member Central BJP Team Leaves For Kunduli
Bhubaneswar: A three-member central BJP team led by BJP National General Secretary and former MP Sushree Saroja Pandey left for Koraput district on Saturday on a two-day visit to probe into the suicide of a minor girl, who committed suicide at her house in Musaguda village on January 22 after being allegedly gang-raped by four persons inside a forest at Kunduli on October 10, 2017.
Talking to mediapersons after the team arrived at the Biju Patnaik International Airport earlier in the day, Pandey said the team will submit its report to the party national president Amit Shah very soon.
The team, during its visit, will meet family members of the victim and interact with the locals. Besides, it will also discuss the matter with senior district officers and police relating to the incident and the follow-up action taken so far.
The other members of the team are MP Jyoti Dhrube and party National General Secretary and MP Anju Bala.
The team would be accompanied by former minister Surama Padhi, BJP Odisha Mahila Morcha president Pravati Parida, BJP State secretary Lekhashree Samantsinghar and Dr Aishwarya Biswal.
The team after winding up its tour will arrive in Bhubaneswar on Sunday evening and leave for New Delhi on Monday.
Keeping in view the statewide uproar over the suicide of the minor rape victim, BJP formed a three-member central team by the order of the party national president Amit Shah to probe into the Kunduli suicide case.
