Indian Coast Guard Rescues Three Fishing Boats From Deep Sea Near Odisha’s Paradip
Paradip: Indian Coast Guard personnel rescued three fishing boats stranded in deep sea off the Paradip coast on Saturday.
Around 5 pm, Indian Coast Guard Ship Amogh picked up a distress call from the fishing boat ‘Peddadevara’, requesting assistance due to loss of anchor and inability to steer amid inclement weather.
Realising the seriousness of the situation, as the sea conditions were highly adverse due to prevailing low pressure, the Coast Guard personnel swung into action immediately. Under the command of Comdt (JG) A Srivastava, Amogh located three fishing boats.
The boats were then safely escorted to the fishing harbour at Paradip, in Jagatsinghpur district.
