Kawasaki Vulcan S BS6 Launched In India; Know How It Stacks Up Against Competition
Mumbai: Kawasaki has updated its Vulcan S motorcycle with a BS6-compliant engine. It is now priced at ₹5.79 lakh (ex-showroom) in Bhubaneswar.
Competition-wise, the Ninja 650 is priced at ₹6.24 lakh. The Harley Davidson Street 750 (around 53 BHP) is priced at ₹5.34 lakh while the desi Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 (47BHP) is priced around ₹3 lakh. All prices mentioned are ex-showroom.
The same 649cc, parallel twin-cylinder, the liquid-cooled motor is now updated to BS6 emission standards. It produces 60 BHP power @ 7,500 rpm and 62.4 Nm torque @ 6,600 rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
Suspension-wise, there’s a 41 mm telescopic fork suspension at the front and a monoshock at the rear. There’s a single 300 mm disc at the front and a 250 mm disc brake at the rear.
The handlebar and footpegs are adjustable as per Kawasaki’s Ergofit system.
The Kawasaki Vulcan S BS6 comes with a new colour option — Metallic Flat Raw Greystone with black and red highlights.
