Bhubaneswar: Police Commissioner YB Khurania inaugurated the examination cell at capital police station here on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, Khurania said, “The initiative will go a long way ensuring transparency in investigation of cases. It will facilitate audio-visual recording of the accused persons in presence of their lawyers and family members so that misleading statements can be avoided.”
More such examination cells will also be opened in different police stations in the twin cities in a phased manner, Khurania added.
A blood donation camp was also inaugurated on the occasion in the presence of senior police officers.
