Man kills mother over family feud

Puri: In a heart-wrenching incident, a woman was hacked to death by his son at Asan village under Astaranga police limits in Puri district on Saturday.
The accused identified as Ullas Jena (50) had a quarrel with her mother Pritilata Jena (65) over a family feud. The quarrel took an ugly turn when Ullas attacked his mother with an axe, killing her on the spot, a police officer said.
The daughter and son of the accused’s younger brother, who were also injured in the attack, caught hold of him and called the police, the officer added.
