Anjana Mishra Gang Rape: Biban’s Wife Contradicts Odisha Police Claim; Know What

Bhubaneswar: Rubbishing the claims of Commissionerate Police that Bibekanand Biswal alias Biban, the prime accused in the Anjana Mishra gang rape case, was in contact with his family, his wife said they had no contact with him in all the years that he was missing.

Biban’s wife Geetanjali said “He was neither with us nor did he have any contact with any of our family members for the last 22 years. We had no contacts with him ever since he left home.”

The Police Commissioner Sudhanshu Sarangi had on Monday stated that the accused used to send money to his family regularly while he was hiding in Lonavala of Maharashtra.

Geetanjali also said she did not receive any money from him and had to sell landed property to raise their children. “I did not get any monetary help from him,” she said.

About the death certificate, Geetanjali said the family had in fact applied for a certificate following her father-in-laws’s death.
