President’s Visit To Odisha: Top Cops Review Security Arrangements In Puri

Puri: A day ahead of President Ram Nath Kovind’s visit to Puri on Monday, senior police officers reviewed security arrangements in the town on Sunday.

According to reports, Additional Director General (Law and Order) Yashwant Jethwa arrived in Puri on Sunday. He held a meeting with the DIG (Central Range) Jai Narayan Pankaj and SP (Puri) Kanwar Vishal Singh. Later, they went to the Jagannath temple and met the sevayats.

Later, Jethwa informed that 40 platoons of force will the deployed in Puri. The security will be monitored by 13 senior police officers and 250 officers in the rank of IIC and sub-inspector.

As per the schedule, the President visited Rourkela on Sunday. He will attend the 18th annual convocation of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) and inaugurate the Super Speciality Hospital at the Ispat General Hospital (IGH). He will return to Bhubaneswar and have a night halt at Raj Bhawan.

On Monday, the President will visit Puri for the darshan of Lord Jagannath and then visit the Sun Temple at Konark. He will return to Bhubaneswar in the afternoon and leave for New Delhi in the evening.
