Bhubaneswar: Former Vice Chancellor of Fakir Mohan University Prof Dinabandhu Sahoo has been appointed Director of Centre for Himalayan Studies and Cluster Innovation, University of Delhi.
He is the first director of the Himalayan Studies Centre of which, he took charge on Tuesday.

“I will try to bring these two centres in top positions. Research will be done in 12 Indian Himalayan Regions,” Sahoo told a vernacular daily.
About leaving the VC position he said “I have not left the VC position of Fakir Mohan University for any controversy. I have left the position to be with my family, for health related issues and COVID upsurge.”
