COVID 2.0 In Bhubaneswar: BMC Forms 39 Rapid Response Teams, Increases Ambulance Fleet
Bhubaneswar: To contain the spread of COVID-19, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Thursday formed 39 rapid response teams (RRTs) for 67 wards in three zones.
According to the BMC sources, there will be 13 RRTs in each zone. Each team will have a doctor, one Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) and one COVID Sachetak. The team will conduct door-to-door survey, collect information about the health of family members and distribute medicines.
Apart from this, the BMC has also increased the number of special COVID ambulance vans from 18 to 28 to facilitate the COVID-19 patients.
To ensure proper treatment of the patients in the hospital, necessary steps have been taken to increase the number of beds and oxygen cylinders.
