Bhubaneswar: With hospitals demanding more of the life-saving gas amid a surge in cases, Odisha has stepped up the supply and sent 67 tankers carrying 1268 metric tonne of medical oxygen to the needy states, including Delhi, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, in the last four days.
The Odisha police have formed a dedicated green corridor and monitoring the loading and transportation round-the-clock for prompt and unhindered movement of the vehicles.
Considering the high demand for medical oxygen, the state government on Saturday had issued a set of modalities for the smooth supply of the cylinders.
Oxygen has been dispatched to Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Maharashtra, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh from Odisha in phases.
