COVID-19 Update: Odisha Sees A Drop In Daily Positivity Rate; Khurda Back At Top Of Dists
Bhubaneswar: The test positivity rate in Odisha dropped to 14.77 per cent from 16.48 per cent the previous day with over 7000 new COVID-19 cases being reported for the second consecutive day on Saturday.
According to the I & PR Department, 7,188 fresh infections were detected from 48,649 samples sent for tests. 7216 of 43768 samples had tested positive for the virus on Friday.
Of the new cases, 4026 are from quarantine and 3162 local contacts.
The highest of 1,134 cases have been reported from Khurda, followed by Cuttack (690) and Angul (515), Puri (457) and Jajpur (406).
