7 Years Of Modi Govt: Congress Lists 7 ‘Criminal Wrongdoings’

New Delhi: Even as leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the government’s achievements on completion of seven years in power, Congress summed up the tenure in seven “criminal wrongdoings”.

“In the last seven years, the Modi government has given the country immeasurable pain. It has been seven years since the country got a failed, useless and mindless government. The country is suffering as unemployment fell to 11.3% in 7 years. Petrol price has crossed Rs 100 and mustard oil Rs 200 in many provinces. It has proved to be the weakest government in the country in 73 years,” Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said on Sunday.

The party also launched a 4-minute, 36-second video in support of its #7YearsofModiMadeDisaster social media campaign.

“The seven years of the Modi government are marked by seven criminal wrongdoings,” said Surjewala. He accused the central government of being guilty of triggering a financial crisis, unemployment and inflation, attack on farmers, lack of sympathy for the poor and middle-class, mismanagement of COVID-19 crisis and tampering with national security.

He went on to state that the current unemployment rate was the highest in 45 years and per capita income is likely to dip by 5.4%, even as people are dying due to lack of life-saving drugs, oxygen and hospital beds.
