Bhubaneswar: Odia director Santosh Bisoyi will helm a web film ‘Raghu In Mumbai’ in the city of dreams, Mumbai.
The movie will be telecast on the OTT platform, Don Cinema.
Santosh has earlier directed and acted in several Odia and Hindi movies.
“After completing a film course in Digital Academy in Mumbai, I started my career as an actor with Odia movies like ‘Hata Dhari Chaluthaa’, and ‘To Bata Chahinchi Rati Sara’. Besides, I have worked in Hindi movies like ‘Chidiya Ghar; and ‘Veerappan,” he said.
He then shifted gears and began another innings as an assistant director. “Later, I directed a Hindi music video and now I have been signed to direct this movie of two hours duration,” he added.
The movie is being made under the banner Jaffer Films Production House. The producer of the movie is Narendra Kadam.
“The shooting of the movie has already been started and it will be released on the OTT platform in December 2021,” informed Santosh.
The star cast include Anuradha Kher, Emani Rawat, and Shakib Ali. Ashfaq Makrani is the editor.
The cinematographer of the movie, Biswanath Patnaik, is also from Odisha.
“My upcoming projects include ‘Mumbai Diary’ and Rajkummar Rao’s ‘Welcome To Dubai’,” Santosh added.
