Bharat Biotech Chairman In Odisha Capital; Discusses Progress Of Andharua Vaccine Unit

Bhubaneswar: The Chairman of Bharat Biotech International Limited (BBIL) Dr Krishna Ella held a meeting with Science and Technology secretary Manoj Mishra at Lok Seva Bhawan here on Wednesday.

They discussed about the ongoing work of vaccine manufacturing plant at Andharua in the capital city, which is likely to be commissioned by June 2022.

The Andharua anchor vaccine unit being set up through BBIL, will produce around 10 types of advanced vaccines including that for corona and malaria.

The company has experience of producing improved vaccines against severe rotavirus diarrhoea, malaria, Japanese encephalitis, rabies, pandemic influenza and drug resistant staphylococcus aureus.
