Bhubanewswar: A video purported to be from Nabarangpur in Odisha is being shared on social media with misleading claims, it was officially stated on Saturday.
The video is related to protests by women demanding ban on liquor in Nabarangpur, the Press Information Bureau (PIB) said in a post on X.
“Citizens are advised to verify the facts before sharing such videos,” it said.

The alert from the PIB comes after a video circulating on social media claimed about thousands of women from across Nabarangpur staging a massive protest against the alleged rampant sale of illegal liquor, and demanding an immediate crackdown on unauthorised liquor outlets.
