Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) on Thursday announced cancellation and reschedule of 11 trains on Howrah-Chennai main route on August 8 and 9.
The ECoR, in a release, said due to safety related modernisation work for construction of limited height sub-ways between Vizianagaram and Korukonda and between Punduri and Dusi in Palasa-Kottavalasa railway sections, 11 trains have been cancelled and equal number of trains rescheduled on the two days.

- Secunderabad-Bhubaneswar Visakha Special from Secunderabad on August 8
- Bhubaneswar-Secunderabad Visakha Special from Bhubaneswar on August 8
- Chennai-Howrah Special from Chennai on August 8
- Vasco-da-Gama-Howrah Amaravati Special from Vasco on August 8.
- Guntur-Rayagada Special from Guntur on August 8 and from Rayagada on August 9
- Howrah-Yesvantpur Special from Howrah on August 8
- Visakhapatnam-Gunupur Special from both directions on August 9
- Visakhapatnam-Bhubaneswar Special from both directions on August 9
Details of rescheduled trains:
- Rameswaram-Bhubaneswar Special from Rameswaram on August 8 to leave at 1050hrs instead of 0850hrs.
- Bangalore-Bhubaneswar Prashanti Special from Bangalore on August 8 to leave at 1540hrs instead of 1340hrs.
- Howrah-Pondichery Special from Howrah on August 8 to leave at 0215hrs on August 9 instead of 2330hrs on August 8.
- Howrah-Chennai Special from Howrah on August 8 to leave at 0225hrs on August 9 instead of 2355hrs on August 8.
- Ernakulam-Tata Special from Ernakulam on August 8 to leave at 0900hrs instead of 0715hrs.
- Alleppey-Dhanbad Special from Alleppey on August 8 will leave at 0700hrs instead of 0600hrs.
- Bhagat Ki Kothi-Visakhapatnam Special from Bhagat Ki Kothi on August 7 to leave at 0330hrs on August 9 instead of 2000hrs on August 7.
- Bhubaneswar-Bangalore Prashanti Special from Bhubaneswar on August 9 to leave at 0810hrs instead of 0540hrs.
- Dibrugarh-Kanyakumari Special from Dibrugarh on August 7 to leave at 2055hrs instead of 1925hrs.
- Bhubaneswar-Visakhapatnam Visakha Special from Bhubaneswar on August 9 to leave at 0945hrs instead of 0845hrs.
- Shalimar-Trivandrum Special from Shalimar on August 8 to leave at 0220hrs on August 9 instead of 2350hrs on August 8.
