Two Infants Among 69 More Who Died Of COVID In Odisha; 38 Fatalities From Cuttack

Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 toll in Odisha touched 7,697 on Friday with 69 more deaths being confirmed in the past 24 hours.

A 12-day-old baby girl from Cuttack and another five-month-old from Mayurbhanj district are the youngest victims.

Odisha has so far seen 1,795 deaths due to the disease this month.

While 660 deaths were reported in May, the number swelled to 1,272 in June and it rose further to 1,884 in July.

With two more deaths, the number of children and adolescents who lost their lives to COVID during the second wave in the state has gone up to 35.

A 1-year-old boy of Bhubaneswar and an 18-year-old girl of Puri were confirmed to have died of COVID on Wednesday.

The deaths of an 11-year-old girl, a 15-year-old girl from Balasore, a 16-year-old girl from Angul, a 16-year-old girl from Cuttack, a 13-year-old boy, a month-old baby girl and a nine-year-old boy were reported on Tuesday, Monday, Sunday, Saturday, Friday, Thursday and Tuesday respectively.

Among the fresh fatalities, the highest of 38 are from Cuttack, followed by 9 from Jagatsinghpur and 6 from Dhenkanal.

The deceased have been identified as:

1.A 52 years old female of Angul District who was also suffering from Multiple Myeloma.

2.A 61 years old male of Angul District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

3.A 48 years old male of Bhadrak District.

4.A 58 years old of Male of Cuttack District.

5.A 80 years old of Female of Cuttack District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension.

6.A 82 years old of Male of Cuttack District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, Coronary Artery Disease.

7.A 65 years old of Male of Cuttack District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension.

8.A 58 years old of Male of Cuttack District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension.

9.A 39 years old of Male of Cuttack District.

10.A 46 years old of Male of Cuttack District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension.

11.A 60 years old of Male of Cuttack District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension.

12.A 73 years old of Female of Cuttack District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, Coronary Artery Disease.

13.A 66 years old of Male of Cuttack District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension.

14.A 36 years old of Female of Cuttack District.

15.A 45 years old of Female of Cuttack District.

16.A 85 years old of Male of Cuttack District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension.

17.A 85 years old of Male of Cuttack District.

18.A 29 years old of Male of Cuttack District.

31.A 63 years old male of Cuttack District.

32.A 52 years old female of Cuttack District who was also suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease.

33.A 56 years old male of Cuttack District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Acute Kidney Infection.

34.A 12 days old baby girl of Cuttack District who was also suffering from Hemoglobinopathy.

35.A 60 years old male of Cuttack District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.

36.A 52 years old male of Cuttack District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

37.A 57 years old female of Cuttack District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.

38.A 65 years old male of Cuttack District who was also suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease.

42.A 70 years old female of Dhenkanal District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.

43.A 47 years old female of Dhenkanal District.

44.A 61 years old female of Dhenkanal District who was also suffering from Hypertension.

45.A 65 years old male of Dhenkanal District who was also suffering from Hypertension & Metabolic Encephalopathy.

46.A 40 years old male of Dhenkanal District.

47.A 40 years old male of Dhenkanal District who was also suffering from Bronchial Asthma.

48.A 55 years old Male of Jagatsinghpur District.

49.A 48 years old male of Jagatsinghpur District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.

50.A 60 years old male of Jagatsinghpur District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

51.A 55 years old male of Jagatsinghpur District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.
