Indian Army Thwarts Chinese Intrusion In Arunachal Pradesh
New Delhi: The Indian soldiers were involved in a tense standoff with Chinese troops that transgressed across the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Arunachal Pradesh last week, according to NDTV’s sources.
The news comes following reports of incursion by Chinese forces in Uttarakhand a month ago.
“There is a difference in perception of the Line of Actual Control in this area … and that both sides undertake patrolling activities upto their line of perception,” the source said.
According to sources, the physical engagement of Indian and Chinese soldiers reportedly lasted for a few hours before troops of both sides disengaged.
However, there was no damage to Indian defences in the sector. This is the area where Chinese incursions have been reported quite often in the past.
