Mamita Meher & Govind Sahu Were In Raipur From Sept 20-23: Congress’ Santosh Saluja
Balangir: While Balangir Police on Monday seized JCB machine, which was used to dig the pit to bury schoolteacher Mamita Meher at Mahaling Stadium in Kalahandi, the opposition continued its demand for Minister of State for Home Dibya Shankar Mishra’s resignation with dharna, bandh and candlelight march.
It is being alleged that the minister shared close links with the main accused, Govind Sahu, and visited his school and college regularly.
Questions are also being raised on whether the minister tried to reconcile Mamita and Gobinda and what was really bothering Mamita.
After BJP leader Bijoy Mohapatra, Congress’ Santosh Saluja also referred to ‘Raipur Theory’ on Monday and said that verifying call records would establish the truth. “Sahu and Mamita were in the capital city of Chhattisgarh from September 20-23. The minister tried to settle a dispute in an apartment. Govind deposited money in Mamita’s account after she returned,” he alleged.
Mohapatra had earlier alleged that the minister had attempted to broker a compromise between Sahu and Mamita at his Raipur residence. Congress veteran Narasingha Mishra had also said that Mishra tried to mediate a dispute between the teacher of Sunshine English Medium School and Sahu, the president of the managing committee of the school, who eventually killed her as claimed by police.
The Kool Home apartment at plot number 203, block E in the Raipur is allegedly owned by the minister.

Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) president Niranjan Patnaik also questioned the Raipur visit by the trio. “What did they discuss in Raipur? Why did minister Dibya Shankar spend nights in Sunshine school?” he asked.
Sources said a teacher at the school had informed a relative of Mamita about a sex racket being run from the educational institute. She said that Mamita was aware of it and had threatened Govind to expose the dark secrets.
Mamita’s parents had also told the media that she was unwilling to go to the school over this issue.
